Review:

We are very proud of the game we made in 2 terms of work between 5 uni students, especially as we explored something quite unique in terms of our main game controller being the player's voice to control agent Derrick. We were able to integrate the control system with 2 hacking games, security guards, CCTV cameras and lootable items and areas to be explored. If we were to take this game into further development, we would look to upgrade our voice detection service as our current one (Azure Services) has varied response times for the character to react after a voice command, and as that is our main character control and would want that to be as seamless as possible to create the best experience for the player as we could. The team would also focus on zoning in the mission objectives and making that more of a rewarding experience for the player. Further development would also lead to different missions that the player could choose from via offered contracts varying in difficulty and money rewarded which the player can use to upgrade Derrick. In terms of what we would do differently if we were to do it again, it is definitely have a bigger emphasis on planning as we crazily over scopped in our first term and then were chasing our tails in the second trying to reel that scope back into 1 level. We felt like our art style wasn't as comprehensive as we would have liked especially in the UI section, as we didn't properly sit down and confirm those detail so it left the UI underdone and half-hearted. Overall, we are quite happy with what were able to achieve in these past couple of terms and are hopeful that you will be able to enjoy our game.
